The photographic series “ My World is Pink” explores the life of a teenage girl who is obsessed with the beauty of her friends and the natural world around her. Being able to see the beauty in every aspect is a gift. Each photo has its natural beauty whether it's the pop of color, or the warm tones from the sunset, or the different shapes laid across the photo; it all has its natural beauty to create its own story leaving the viewer to wonder and have thoughts of their own. Throughout every photo it captures a hue of the pink realm, as well as blues; capturing warm tones makes the photos feel like home, like a safe place. Childhood also plays an important role in “My World is Pink”. Childhood is what can make up a person whether it was negative or positive, it played some role into who we are today. For the photographer’s physical piece, the photographer found objects both in class and outside. They created a sculpture to combine the things she observes as well as imagines by making them pink. Our world is beautiful in different ways. Sometimes we move so fast, we forget the natural beauty that's all around us.
